Who knew we would be spending all our time at home during the month of April?! During this unsettling time, your pets can become anxious and fearful just like you. Keeping your home a relaxed, comfortable haven can be challenging.
Your pets can sense your anxiety, fear and the change to the normal routine. Being home all the time is very much your pet’s natural choice! But, once you do go back to work, your pet will wonder why you are not home all the time anymore.
Giving your pet time to adjust will help when you are gone again for 8, 9, or 10 hours a day. In the days prior to returning to work, take short intervals of time away from home. That way, your pet will become accustomed to you being gone again.
If your pet is having a hard time adjusting, reach out to me for more specific ideas on how to help. One suggestion is to diffuse Lavender and/or Peace and Calming Therapeutic Essential Oils to help your pet!
